Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider
Our ACLS certification institute offers the BLS course where participants are taught to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, provide appropriate ventilation, and use an AED as soon as possible.
The BLS Course is intended for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. This course is appropriate for pharmacists, physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, police, fire personnel, lifeguards, and other first responders. We also offer ACLS certification online!
Who should take this course?


What does this course teach?
- Adults, children, and infants high-quality CPR.
- The BLS components of the AHA Chain of Survival
- Use an AED as early as possible.
- Using a barrier device to provide effective ventilation
- The role of teams in multi rescuer resuscitation and how to perform as an effective team member during multi rescuer CPR
- Relief adults and infants struggling from foreign-body airway obstruction (choking)
Learning Options
BLS Provider Classroom Initial
This course is for the healthcare worker who never took the BLS certification with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics, the BLS Instructor-led course covers both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for use in both prehospital and in-facility settings.
It takes about 4.5 hours to complete the whole BLS Provider Course, which includes skills practice and testing. Students will receive a completion card at the end of the day through an email. BLS Provider Course Completion Card, valid for two years.

BLS Renewal Course:
This course is for the healthcare provider who needs recertification for Basic life Support. BLS Renewal Course takes approximately 3 hours to complete, including skills practice and testing. At the end of the course, students will receive a course completion card through email.
Blended Learning
HeartCode® BLS:
The American Heart Association’s BLS blended learning system is called HeartCode BLS. Blended learning is a blend of eLearning and hands-on skills training in which a student completes part of the course on their own time.
Complete the online section of the course as well as the hands-on skills session with an AHA Instructor.

Part 1:
HeartCode Courses is the eLearning component of Blended Learning; this course uses a range of eLearning assets to teach students BLS knowledge and skills, including dramatizations, simulations, animations, and self-directed learning, and interactive activities.
Part 2:
Students attend a structured BLS Hands-On Session with an AHA Instructor after finishing the online component. This session focuses on practical skills practice, such as doing CPR and using an AED, as well as skills testing.
Part 3:
Students will receive the same card as if they had taken the classroom version of the course after completing Parts 1 & 2. This class appeals to students since it allows them to finish a section of the course on their schedule. Students will have the option to purchase the online portion from us or directly from the AHA.
